Belcourt: The Final Mission

x-posted on my journal

Belcourt's Northwest Corner

This was taken from the corner of Lakeview Ave. and Ledge Rd.

Belcourt's South Face
Belcourt's South Face
This is the ugliest side of Belcourt. You can see that there are roof tiles missing, broken fencing, and debris on the ground.

Note to cellrock: I know the south side is probably a disappointment, but Belcourt has been in various degrees of disrepair for ages. They don't have the same funding available as many of the other mansions, because they're privately owned. That was about as close as I could get without entering onto private property, which I'm not willing to do. By the way, where are you from? And why Belcourt?

Note to cellrock

I love the picture of Belcourt Castle on your journal. I friended you btw. Your journal says, "Leave a note, I might friend you." But I can't leave a note since your journal is friend's only...hahaha...is that some cruel joke?

How many of you know or remember the local band "No Means Yes" or their lead singer and bass guitarist Mr. Mike. The band moved to Seattle a few years ago because of the favorable climate for grunge rock, and they've been quite successful out there.

On Halloween night they were playing a private gig and during a break a fight broke out. Mr. Mike got stabbed. Yeah. He's ok, except a tendon in his wrist was severed and the doctors say he won't be able to play guitar for at least a year. I spoke to his father this morning, and the family is understandably quite upset, although they are very grateful it wasn't worse.

Mr. Mike's mom is a mail carrier in Newport and she's also my sister, making Mr. Mike my nephew. They tried to persuade him to come home to Newport, but he says he needs to stay out there and deal with this.

Mr. Mike is an awesomely rad dude, and would never hurt anyone. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
